Nick Cawley - Graduate Intern
Hi there! I’m Nick, a graduate student at Oakland University in their Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Finding the right therapist can be daunting, and taking that first step isn’t always easy. My goal is to create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and comfortable being yourself while we work toward achieving your goals.
I use mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered approaches, meaning that I meet you where you are and we work together to explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may no longer be serving you. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and individualized to you, your experiences, and what you hope to gain from the process.
I work with adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and other challenges that can leave you feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Whether you’re working through something from your past, adjusting to changes in your life, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I’m here to support you through the process.
If you feel like you’re ready to make a change, I’d love to connect and work alongside you.
A little about me…
.Outside of session, you can usually find me spending time with friends and family, reading a book, or trying to cook something new in the kitchen. I enjoy staying active in the gym, gardening, and playing with my pets.
I believe therapy works best when you have a space to be your true self and where you don't need to have everything figured out. I look forward to working with you as we navigate life's challenges.
Insurances Nick Accepts: Blue Cross Complete Medicaid, Aetna Medicaid and Priority Health Medicaid.
