Lauren Vukovich, LLMSW
CLINICAL THERAPIST
Hi! I'm Lauren, and I believe that feeling genuinely heard, understood, and supported can make all the difference. My goal is to build authentic and compassionate relationships with the children, teens, young adults, and families I work with while creating a space where clients feel safe being themselves.
For over five years, I have worked alongside children and families in a variety of settings across Michigan, including schools, hospitals, crisis settings, and juvenile detention centers. These experiences have given me a unique understanding of the different challenges children and families may face and have strengthened my passion for advocacy, emotional support, and helping clients navigate difficult moments.
I have experience supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, ODD, PTSD, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, family changes, and other emotional and behavioral concerns. I also have extensive experience working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health crises and helping them learn ways to regulate emotions, de-escalate overwhelming situations, and feel more supported during challenging times.
When working with children and teens, I believe it is important to meet them where they are, build trust, and create a relationship where they feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgment. I also recognize how important family relationships and support systems can be, and I enjoy helping families better understand one another, navigate changes, and strengthen their relationships.
Whether your child is struggling with big emotions, you're navigating changes within your family, or you're a young adult trying to find your footing, you don't have to figure everything out alone. I would love the opportunity to support you or your family as you work toward greater confidence, connection, and emotional well-being.
A little about me…
When I’m not working I love to live life to the fullest. I love new experiences, trying new restaurants, being with my fiancè and friends, making new recipes, and traveling. I also have a kitty Kiwi, she's really funny. I truly believe life is too short to not love on people special to us, not try new things, and not have peace within ourselves. My goal with my clients is to have a genuine environment so we can find peace and balance together.
