Janet Mayo, LLPC
Hi, I'm Janet. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, which is why my top priority is creating a space rooted in safety, trust, and authenticity—where you can show up just as you are. I strive to provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment as we work together to navigate life’s challenges.
I work with teens and adults and have experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression. I specialize in helping individuals impacted by domestic violence, complex family dynamics, and trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with an emphasis on safety, empowerment, and nervous-system awareness. My approach centers on helping clients develop a deeper awareness of their mind–body connection, learning how to listen to and respond to their needs with greater care and intention.
I understand that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or for someone you care about, I recognize how important it is to find a therapist who feels like a good fit. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in a way that feels safe, grounded, and aligned with your needs.
A little about me…
Outside of work, you can often find me curled up with a good book. I’m a devoted cat lover and deeply value time with my partner and four children. I look forward to walking alongside you as you begin this journey.
