Amanda Beres, LPC
Hi! I'm Amanda, and I'm so glad you're here. Reaching out for support can be one of the hardest steps, and my goal is to make therapy feel like a place where you can simply be yourself. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe exploring whatever is weighing on you while we work together toward your goals.
I take a person-centered, empowerment-based approach, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to meet you where you are, honor your unique experiences, and support you in building the tools, confidence, and insight needed to create meaningful change. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, allowing trust and healing to develop naturally.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, stress, and the lasting effects of trauma. I also have extensive experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through a trauma-informed approach. Together, we'll work to process difficult experiences, strengthen resilience, rebuild confidence, and help you reconnect with a sense of safety and hope.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change, you don't have to navigate it alone. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, growth, and a life that feels more aligned with who you are. If you're ready to take the next step, I'd love to connect.
A little about me…
Outside of work, I enjoy reading a good book, spending time with friends, or hanging out at home with my cats. I also enjoy being out in the sun, finding cute coffee shops, or watching a Red Wings game.
I value progress over perfection and believe balance in life helps us show up more authentically. I hope we get a chance to work together soon!
